My Top 50 Favorite Bands
I have been constructing this list now for over a month and have spent lots of time making sure that it’s correct.
Whereas I do not necessarily feel like this list makes any difference in the long run (although my opinion on music is infinitely better than most peoples’, I must say) this should serve as a glimpse into my psyche that no one really asked for.
Also, it should be noted that I am not suggesting that these are the 50 best bands. No human being in their right mind could ever make the argument that #31 is better than #46.
It took me at least a full day to decide which order to put #2 and #3 in and I’m sure most people who know me well are going to be surprised.
And #50 is the only modern band with only one album.
Enjoy.

-Blind Melon
I know one of you is going to point out something obvious that I missed.

You compeletely forgot about PANTS.
..and Nintendo Rules.
you totally forgot Jesse and the Rippers
It’s Jessie and the Rivers, I’m pretty sure.
Jesse and the Rippers, unless you’re talking about Katsopolis’s short-lived collabo with pre-Harvard Cuomo.
Here is the list of bands on your list that I’ve never even heard of:
Spiritualized
Boris
Joanna Newsom
Pavement
Sleater Kinney
Kyuss
Boris and Joanna Newsom make some sense. You should’ve heard of the rest by now.
Okay, you have a pretty cool list here. I dont think that this was meant to be in any order, right. Just 50 of the best? I love that Simon and Garfunkel are on the list. Some of them I havent heard of, but most are great, and I agree. Jim Croce should have been on there. Great now I have to YouTube him and put up a song on my blog. Great list, thanks!
