April 30, 2008Thanks to WordPress I can see not only what links come into my blog, but how many people follow them, and (most excitingly) what Google searches have led to my blog.
Interestingly enough, the most viewed post on my page is my “Look at the Candidates” post. It comes up rather highly on a Google search for “Ralph Nader,” hilariously.
Furthermore, the number one Google search that leads to my page:
Gilmore Girls.
Not “1990s,” not “Nirvana,” “Radiohead,” “Scott Weiland is a sexy bitch,” or “metal,” but fucking Gilmore Girls.
(Hopefully, that previous sentence will bring people in who search for “fucking Gilmore Girls.” Then again, I don’t want those people on my site. Correction: I’d totally bang Lauren Graham, even if she is over 40. Fuck it, I’d do Alexis Bledel also. Who am I kidding?)
Anyway, it’s good to know that even though I’m a struggling writer with a dream of doing this site professionally, the number one thing bringing me recognition is a small reference to the Gilmore Girls.

I’ll give you a hint: put “blowjob” in a post somewhere. Anywhere. I swear to Jesus that when I put that in a post on my last site, it doubled my daily visits.
So I just wrote a post that said “blowjob ass vagina penis” and my site beat Google for that week.
